Treadmill Optical Sensor Replacement

How to replace the Optical Sensor on your treadmill

Here is a quick guide instructing you on the proper procedure when replacing the optical sensor on your unit.

STEP 1: Make sure the power switch on the treadmill is turned OFF. 

STEP 2: Unplug the unit from its power source. 

STEP 3: Remove the motor cover by loosening the screws using a Phillips screwdriver and lifting the cover off. 

STEP 4: With the cover removed, cut off the zip ties that hold the sensor wires.

STEP 5: Follow the wire and disconnect it from the Control Board. 

STEP 6: Using the screwdriver, remove the two screws that hold the sensor and remove the sensor from the bracket.

STEP 7: Install the replacement sensor in the bracket as shown.

STEP 8: Once in position, secure the two screws to hold the sensor in place. 

STEP 9: Reconnect the Sensor Wire to the Control Board and zip-tie the wires together.

STEP 10: Place the motor cover in its position and secure it by tightening the screws.
