How to Replace the Incline Motor on a Treadmill.
Here is a quick guide that will assist you in the correct procedure to replace the Incline Motor.
STEP 1: Remove the top cover by using a crosshead screwdriver to remove the securing screws.
STEP 2: Lean the unit onto its side to remove the two screws on each side that are underneath.
STEP 3: With the screws and top cover removed, return the unit to its primary position.
STEP 4: Remove the filter screws to access the connectors to the incline motor.
STEP 5: Remove the excess glue on the signal wire connector and disconnect it.
STEP 6: Disconnect the ground and power wires.
STEP 7: Using a #5 Allen key and #17 open wrench, remove the bolts and nuts on both sides of the motor.
STEP 8: Pry the bolt using a flathead screwdriver and remove the motor.
STEP 9: Install the new incline motor and bolt but do not completely secure the bolt yet.
STEP 10: Tighten both nuts and bolts.
STEP 11: Reconnect the signal wire and power cables to the control board.
STEP 12: Reconnect the ground and filter wires, and reorganize the wires using zip ties.
