How To Remove The Covers
Step 1: Remove the nylon nuts (Part numbers 40L and 40R) from each side using a wrench or spanner tool. (Remember the left side will be reverse threaded and will need to be turned counter-clockwise to be removed).
Step 2: Remove the Hinge Bolts (Part numbers 19L and 19R) from each side using an Allen wrench. (Remember the left side will be reverse threaded and will need to be turned counter-clockwise to be removed).
Step 3: Remove the screws (Part numbers 95 and 97) along the edge of the belt covers on both sides.
Step 4: Once all screws are removed, you can slide the belt covers off over the crank arms (Part number 49). It is recommended that you adjust the crank arms to point upward and slightly back and then slide the covers upwards for the easiest removal.
